HUDC honoured with Mayor’s Voluntary Services Award

Harrow United Deaf Club (HUDC) was delighted to be invited to attend an informal evening Reception on Monday 7th March 2016 to recognise voluntary service to the community that the Mayor has witnessed to date during his Mayoral year.

HUDC’s Chair Sindhuya Saseetharan and Vice Chair Mehtab Hussein were so proud to attend the ceremony which took place at Harrow Council Chambers. Harrow Voluntary Service Award was presented by Mayor councillor Krishna Suresh in recognition of our HUDC’s voluntary service made to the local community. Sindhuya said: “What a lovely evening! Well done to Harrow United Deaf Club team!”

Asif Iqbal MBE, President of HUDC was pleased with the award, he said: “This is a brillant achievement and credit to everyone on the HUDC Committee who worked hard in providing monthly events for deaf and hearing people and children activities for children of Deaf Parents. It is with their passions and commitment that made HUDC a great success. Also a huge thanks to all of our members for their continued support, we look forward to bring more events/ activities, bringing communities together.”
