6 years ago, Michael Vincent, the world-famous British Magician lost his hearing overnight. It was a dramatic loss for Michael as his selling point was his ability to communicate with his audience and entertain his clients.

Farewell Party

On Sunday the 1st of October Michael Vincent attended the Harrow and Brent deaf club farewell party; he gave an inspirational speech about his setback losing his hearing which lasted 15 minutes and it was delivered in collaboration with Barry David through sign language.

It was a touching experience for Michael and the audience as it was his first time opening his heart to the deaf community about his hearing loss. He lost business as he was afraid to answer the phone due to his hearing loss when clients called as he could not hear them but he did not quit, he’s still in business 6 years on.

It was the first time Michael worked with a sign language interpreter and saw first-hand how hard it is to translate his words into physical actions. He sung praises for Barry David and acknowledged his expertise.
