New Cabinet member shows support to HUDC

Harrow United Deaf Club are delighted to receive a message of support from Councillor Sue Anderson, Portfolio Holder for Community, Culture & Resident Engagement for Harrow Council.

Sue lives, works and is a Councillor in Greenhill ward. Sue is well-known in the local voluntary sector; her support for local autism charities and  carers giving her  experience in working with the voluntary and community sector in Harrow. When Labour is out canvassing in Greenhill it is often commented on that everyone who opens their door seems to know Sue!

Being a carer , Sue understands the vital role that the local voluntary sector plays in supporting residents. Sue has also worked for NHS Harrow as a health trainer and has just successfully completed a TUC Disability Champion@Work course.

Councillor Sue Anderson said: Harrow United Deaf Club does fantastic work in the local community. An extremely active and prominent charity Harrow United Deaf Club’s events and campaigns do a great job of raising awareness for Deaf people in Harrow, and for bringing the community together.”
