Dawn's letter

Last month Dawn Butler MP, Ambassador for Harrow and Brent United Deaf Club wrote to The Speaker of the UK House of Commons John Bercow concerning services available to our deaf and hard of hearing residents and issues many face when trying to engage with their Members of Parliament.

With 11 million people in the UK suffering from some form of hearing loss it is so important that everyone has equal access to services that their elected officials provide.

Dawn is therefore thrilled to receive the following response especially given the fact that the House of Commons is now looking into this as a result of my campaigning.

Dawn looks forward to working with The Speaker, who has already done great work opening up our parliament, and House of Commons Service to ensure our parliament is accessible to all.
