Asif Iqbal MBE meets Zac Goldsmith, Conservative Candidate for the Mayor of London at Harrow

On the evening of Tuesday 16th February 2016, Asif Iqbal MBE, President of Harrow United Deaf Club, was invited by Zac Goldsmith, a Conservative Candidate for the Mayor of London to watch Zac’s speech regarding his action plan for Greater London. The presentation took place at the Bernays Memorial Hall in Harrow.

Zac Goldsmith was born in 1975, and grew up in Richmond where he has lived for most of his life. He was elected MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston in 2010. He has been voted among the top MPs for engagement with his constituents, and has won a number of awards for his campaigns in Parliament. Before becoming an MP, Zac directed and edited the Ecologist Magazine for a decade, and received Mikhail Gorbachev’s Global Green Award for ‘International Environmental Leadership’.

Asif exclaimed: “It was interesting to hear of Zac’s action plan for Greater London and how it will impact onto different communities across London.”
