Harrow Art Centre’s Xmas Panto – great success

Posted by | December 22, 2014 | News | No Comments

Harrow Art Centre’s annual pantomime had delivered their fantastic performance of Jack and the Beanstalk, with BSL interpreted show on 20th December 2014 – it was a full house at the Harrow Art Centre’s theatre hall, in Harrow and proved to be popular among children and families.

Asif Iqbal MBE, Ambassador of Harrow Art Centre went with his family and  thoroughly enjoyed the musical performance.

Asif explained: “It was Harrow Art Centre’s first BSL interpreted performance at their Christmas Pantomime last year (Dec 2013), following consultation with Deaf residents at Harrow Deaf Awareness Day (May 2013). From there, Harrow Art Centre have been committed in ensuring deaf people have full access to their Christmas Pantomime and have worked closely with Harrow United Deaf Club. I’m pleased to see a fantastic turnout at the annual Christmas Panto, giving both deaf children and adults the magic of Christmas. I hope to see more BSL interpreted/ captioned performances at local theatres”.
