We had a special speaker about VoluntEars and their work which took place on Sunday 4th March 2018.
VoluntEars explained that they are a small specialised organisation and arrange trips to Sri Lanka, Nepal and Ghana for D/deaf, hearing and HoH people.
Half the trip is spent helping in a local Deaf school. The other half is spent visiting the local country and learning about their culture.
VoluntEars arranges all the accommodation, local transport, food, visits to local places, local sign language class, cooking class, activities with local deaf students and so on.
VoluntEars welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds and receive fantastic feedback from our volunteers. You can read reviews here: www.voluntears.info/reviews
If you are interested in taking part or want to know more, please look at their website: www.voluntears.info

We need help our committee member Dikmaya need to raise money for Charity – Children With Cancer UK.
Dikmaya is following her dream of becoming a Model whilst raising money for Charity. She hope to participate in the Top Model UK 2018. It is a modelling competition which will take place in April 2018.
As a part of the competition, all candidates including Dikmaya have been given a set target to raise a fund of £500 (we can also go higher on this amount). The Finalist who raises the maximum amount will win and to receive an award.
